Trauma-Informed Coaching for Women

Helping you feel safe in your body again — without pressure, judgement, or overwhelm.

If You Feel “Stuck”, There’s a Reason

Many women I work with say things like:

This isn’t because you’re broken.
It’s because your nervous system learned to survive.
And it hasn’t been shown yet that it’s safe to stop.

“I know what happened to me — but I still feel on edge”

“I freeze, shut down, or people-please even when I don’t want to”

“I feel tired all the time, emotionally and physically”

“I can’t relax, even when things are ‘okay’"

What This Work Actually Helps With

  • PTSD symptoms

  • people-pleasing or fawning

  • emotional numbness or shutdown

  • anxiety and constant tension

  • trauma bonding

  • recovery after emotionally or narcissistically abusive relationships

We don’t force change.
We help your system slow down, settle, and feel safer — step by step.

This coaching supports women who experience:

A lot of talk-based support focuses on thinking differently.

But trauma doesn’t live in thoughts.
It lives in the body and nervous system.

That’s why this work focuses on:

  • helping your body feel calmer

  • learning how to regulate emotions safely

  • understanding your reactions without shame

  • building self-trust and inner steadiness

No pushing.
No reliving everything.
No pressure to “be positive”.

How My Approach Is Different

About Naazi Amjad

I’m Naazi Amjad, an ICF-accredited Somatic Trauma-Informed Coach.

I’m trained to work with trauma responses in a way that is:

  • calm

  • structured

  • emotionally safe

  • respectful of culture and faith

My role is not to analyse you or label you — but to support you in rebuilding internal safety and self-leadership.

The Tools I Use

IFS-Informed Coaching
Helps you understand different parts of you — like the people-pleaser, the inner critic, or the part that shuts down — without fighting them or judging them.

NLP-Informed Coaching
Helps you notice patterns and beliefs you learned through past experiences, and gently shift what no longer helps you.

Brainspotting (Coaching Context)
A gentle, body-based approach that helps the nervous system process stuck experiences without talking through every detail.
Used safely within coaching, not therapy.

What Sessions Feel Like

Clients often say sessions feel:

  • calming

  • grounding

  • steady

  • contained

  • safe

You don’t need to explain everything perfectly.
You don’t need to “open up” faster than feels right.
We move at the pace your nervous system can handle.

Carlton Mills Primary School invited Naazi Amjad due to the significant number of community members immigrating from foreign countries and settling here in Bradford, recognising the importance of addressing diverse cultural and emotional needs. Naazi Amjad joined us via Teams from Slough, London, to emphasise the importance of acknowledging the existence of anxiety. Naazi Amjad brought a wealth of knowledge and insight to our session, offering practical strategies and tools to help our parents better understand and manage anxiety. Naazi Amjad’s trauma-informed approach created a safe and supportive environment where attendees felt comfortable sharing their experiences and concerns.

I was particularly impressed by Naazi Amjad’s ability to tailor her presentation to meet the unique needs of our community. Naazi Amjad demonstrated a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding anxiety and provided actionable steps for parents to support their children’s emotional well-being.

The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing gratitude for the opportunity to learn from Naazi Amjad and apply their insights in their daily lives. The session not only provided valuable information but also fostered a sense of connection and empowerment among participants. In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend Naazi Amjad to anyone seeking support in navigating anxiety or other emotional challenges.

Thank you, Naazi Amjad, for your unwavering commitment to helping others thrive.

★★★★★

I was always in denial running away from my problems & resorted to other matters to overcome my ptsd & trauma.

Apart from applying the Quran & sunnah to my life I accepted I needed help. I was nervous & anxious however meeting & speaking with Naazi Amjad changed my perspective on therapy & studying about the brain, gaining in-depth insight into the world of mental health and human behaviour, the different coping mechanisms & giving me a clear understanding of how to deal with the after math from certain situations.

My family noticed a change in me which I’m so happy about because it shows that Naazi was practical, professional, & amazing at her job, not only was it beneficial but it was one of the best things I have done for my mental health. It was a pleasure to be able to talk with Naazi on a one to one basis allowing privacy & keeping confidentiality because she made me feel comfortable & be my self which is important! I’m grateful to have met her & speak to her not just as a patient but as a friend too. May Allah reward you for your efforts and grant us good in this world & the hereafter Ameen.

It does not replace medical, psychological, or psychiatric treatment.

This coaching is not suitable if you are:

  • in active crisis

  • experiencing unmanaged psychosis

  • at immediate risk of harm to yourself or others

In some cases, additional clinical or medical support may be needed alongside coaching.

Faith & Cultural Awareness

My work is faith-aware and culturally respectful.

Muslim women and women of faith are warmly welcomed, while remaining inclusive of all backgrounds.
The work is supportive and grounded — not prescriptive or religious instruction.

Next Step

You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong.
You don’t need the right words.

If your body feels tired of being on guard, that’s enough to start.

No commitment. Just a conversation.
